Rejuvenating the appearance of woodwork

Q.      I recently moved into an older home with beautiful woodwork. The trim around the inside doors, the doors themselves and the trim around the windows are what looks like solid oak. But they do look sort of tired as if they have been neglected by the elderly couple living there until recently. The wood looks dried out. Is there a product you would recommend that would rejuvenate the wood without changing its appearance?

A.      Milsek Furniture Polish & Multi Purpose Cleaner is probably your best bet. You should be able to buy it at a local hardware or home store or on the Web at www.milsek.com. Milsek Furniture Polish & Multi Purpose Cleaner will rejuvenate the wood by adding oil to it; I buy it at Ace hardware and we use it all the time with wonderful results. For more information check the company’s Web site at http://www.milsek.com/.
