Water spots on bathtub fixtures

Q.    My issue is very minimal compared to the many questions you receive from concerned readers. The faucet on my bathroom tub and the back plate of the shower control are chrome. They are both water-spotted which I have not been able to remove to make the chrome shine again. What can I use to remove these water spots?

A.    There are no questions that are too minimal to be asked and answered. To the person affected by them, they are important and deserve to be dealt with.

The water spots are caused by lime in the water supply. They should come off with any product that can remove lime deposits such as Lime-A-Way or Kaboom among a number of similar products. White vinegar is also quite effective.
