Ridding house of Indian Meal Moths

Q.    My friend in New Hampshire recently told me about some small white moths that she has in her kitchen year-round. What do you recommend to get rid of them?

A.    The moths may be Indian Meal Moths. They are found mostly in kitchens and their cupboards. They may have been brought in through grocery cardboard boxes or birdseed.

Revenge Pantry Bug Traps attract the male moths which get stuck on a sticky substance (like flypaper). This interrupts the reproductive cycle. These should be available from a local hardware or home store, but if you have any difficulty finding them, search the Web, as they are common on many e-commerce sites such as Amazon.
